Product Details

Offer families and parishioners a cherished keepsake for the beginning of a faith journey! The presentation of a lit candle to the newly baptized is a profound moment in the liturgy, symbolizing the light of Christ kept burning unto eternal life.

These First Light white baptism candles from Cathedral Candle are designed not only for the ceremony itself but to serve as a lasting memento of this sacred day!

Each high-quality candle features beautiful, full-color symbols of baptism. These decals and their meanings include:

• A dove - The descent of the Holy Spirit

• Flowing water - The cleansing of sin and birth of new life

• A seashell - A symbol of the Virgin Mary, and historically used to pour water over the individual being baptised.

• The baptisimal font - The entry point into the Church community

The flame of the candle also holds significance, as it can represent the Holy Spirit coming down from the heavens in tongues of fire at Pentecost.

Beyond their use in the ritual, these candles are crafted to be treasured by families for years to come. Each baptism candle comes in an individual gift box, making it easy to present to parents or godparents. The packaging also includes specific provisions for recording the details of the ceremony.
