Altar Candles - 2-1/2" Diameter - 51% Beeswax

Altar Candles - 2-1/2" Diameter - 51% Beeswax | Cathedral Candle

At the heart of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, lighted candles stand upon the altar table as a living, glowing symbol of Christ, the Light of the World. In Catholic tradition, beeswax candles hold a uniquely elevated sacred status: the pure wax crafted by virgin bees symbolizes the pure, untainted flesh of Christ born of the Virgin Mary, the wick represents His human soul, and the bright flame proclaims His divine majesty.

For pastors and sacristans seeking liturgical fidelity, beauty, and dependable altar performance, Cathedral Brand 51% white beeswax candles represent the gold standard in church lighting.

Chiarelli’s Church Supply is proud to offer these master-crafted sanctuary candles, designed specifically for prominent table altars, solemn Masses, and liturgical feast days. Manufactured in the United States by Cathedral Candle Company, each candle balances time-honored ecclesiastical symbolism with superior burning characteristics.

• Certified 51% Pure Beeswax: Every candle is officially stamped with the guaranteed 51% beeswax insignia, ensuring full compliance with liturgical guidelines and canon law.

• Dimensional Relief Sculpting: Features a refined dimensional stepped design that adds visual texture and stately elegance to the altar table, complementing traditional and contemporary candle holders alike.

• Cleaner, Longer Burn: Formulated to burn slowly and evenly with minimal drip and no harsh black smoke, preserving your sanctuary air, sacred art, and linen altar cloths.

• Pure Liturgical White: Bleached to a radiant, clean white finish that brightens the sanctuary and elevates the visual solemnity of the Eucharistic feast.

• Substantial 2-1/2" Pillar Scale: With a bold 2-1/2" diameter, these pillars provide a prominent, reverent silhouette easily visible from the back pews of the nave.
